FBATI appreciates government for reviving trade relations with India
The Federal B Area Association of Trade and Industry has termed the decision of the government to allow import of sugar, cotton and yarn from India as a welcome step for industrial development.
Reacting to the decision, President FBATI Muhammad Ali said that the decision would provide opportunities for further development of the garment industry.
He further said that import of cotton and yarn from India would not only provide cheap raw materials to the garment industry but also help the industries to complete export orders timely.
He said that Pakistan imports millions of tonnes of cotton from all over the world every year. Importing low priced cotton from India will further accelerate the achievement of export targets.
Muhammad Ali added that the economic policies of the Federal Government are now strengthening the value of rupee and the reduction in the prices of petroleum products will bring relief to every class.
